Google interested in CNET?
I just heard a rumour about that Google plans to buy CNET, there is a battle going on between the shareholders which may result in that Google buys the whole thing. Google does however decline the rumour but CNET chooses not to comment on the matter. Steve Weinstein, an analyst at Pacific Crest Securities, said Google’s interest in CNET is “highly unlikely but “potentially, that could be moving the stock,” he said. The shares of CNET have increased quite much lately as well and seem to be going up. This could also be a reason for Google to buy wm now while they are hot.
